This is Part III of our antique-browsing. The history of Irish Acres Antiques originated in Rush, Kentucky, where in 1970, a horse barn, in which the Hannigan daughters showed horses was converted to an antique shop. The Hannigans purchased the Nonesuch elementary school in 1984 and opened the gallery after Arch hannigan renovated for two years. The operation in Rush was closed in 2001 after the loss of Bonnie Hannigan. The gallery in Nonesuch continues operation by Arch Hannigan and daughters Jane delauter and Emilie mccauley. Irish Acres Gallery of Antiques, nestled in the rolling countryside of Nonesuch, Kentucky, displays beautiful American and European furniture, glassware, china, crystal, silver, linens, dolls, jewelry, rugs, decorative accessories and International giftware in a fantasyland setting of elegance and splendor.
